The latest character Allergy Kids asked me to design was certainly a tricky one. The alert wristbands for children to wear are primarily for allergies but also cover other conditions so adults can be aware of that child's needs, which can be essential if the child is not able to communicate them. Usually the condition suggests the character easily (dairy allergy = cheese, hayfever = inhaler) but this one wasn't so straightforward.
One of the commonly used visuals for autism turns out to be jigsaws with coloured pieces, so naturally our character had to be a jigsaw piece, himself made up of further pieces.
Look out for him soon on the Allergy Kids website.
