It's not often I get direct feedback from parents after a school visit, but I was incredibly pleased to receive this message this morning (I've edited it slightly to disguise the child's name):
Dear Simon,
I wanted to reach out and say thank you.
Earlier this month you visited my daughter's school, Southsea Infants. Whilst there the children drew cartoons under your guidance and greatly enjoyed themselves.
Our daughter's drawing was selected for the art wall and the Teacher passed on the comments and praise you gave to her for her drawing.
As her parents we wanted to pass on our sincerest thank you, this small act and kind words of encouragement have given our daughter a massive confidence boost and she hasn’t stopped drawing since! We are so proud of her.
We are coming up to a family move where she will be starting a new school away from old friends and we feel the confidence she has now found in her drawing will really help her deal with the changes that are soon to happen.
Our thanks.
