Managed to finish pencilling the wooden structure first thing, which was something of a relief. It looks nice and higgledy-piggledy.
Which meant I could start pencilling some lions! Did a few around the face and ears, then started splurging on some paint.
We also had a visit from Zoe, one of Marwell's Grevy's Zebra keepers. It was good to learn a little more about the animals we're supporting, and also how to pronounce Grevy's (greh-vee). It was Zoe's day off, so good of her to call in.
Got more lions drawn than I'd planned, especially as I was finishing at 2.30 today. Still got a long way to go before even one tiny section is finished, though. Other highlights of today included a visit from my Mum and Dad, and a girl from Cadlands School in Holbury who had so many questions (and they were good ones too) that I hadn't always finished answering before she asked another. That's enthusiasm, that is.
