A cartoon creation of the Hythe Pier historic train led to this commission from the Rail Trolley Trust, an organisation dedicated to the preservation of these unique vehicles. They wanted something similar creating, so a friendly cartoon character that they could use to engage children and families – and so Simon created this based on a RTT Type 27!
