The Won'tlings, from the Land Of Won't, are each notorious for not doing a certain thing. Only through the wise leadership of their young ruler, King Will, and his ever-resourceful teddy, Red Ted, can the Won'tlings face up to their fears, responsibilities, or just plain irrational behaviour, and learn that there's no such thing as can't or, indeed, won't.
In The Story Of The Quietling, King Will and Red Ted advertise for a new guard for the castle, but the noisy applicant is going to need the value of sometimes being quiet before he can hope to get the job.
All the Won'tling stories are based upon a poem by poet Ralph Bailey.
