Look out for the latest issue of the Waterside Network Group's Focus magazine, dropping through letterboxes along the Waterside in the coming days. Designed and laid out by Ceratopia, this is a magazine to promote and support local businesses, and this month the cover star is... me.
Because of my new children's book I thought it a good opportunity to grab the cover when it became available at the last moment; a perfect opportunity to spread the news locally as the magazine has a 15,000 distribution down the eastern edge of the New Forest.
You can read more about the magazine, and the Waterside Network Group, at the Waterside Network Group website.

This one started out as the client and a couple of his mates being portrayed like those dogs playing snooker. Then the dogs aspect got dropped but the ambition grew, with more and more people being added and the scale and scope of the cartoon expanding.
It's based on a room at the client's house that, at the time of drawing, was still being developed, and what's shown as the bar area isn't even built yet.
It took a bit of toing abd froing, and just when we thought the picture finished, another friend asked if he could be added, so it was crowbars and Photoshop at the ready.
The finished piece was output onto an enormous canvas, and now sits where the pets picture sits on the wall in the cartoon. It was a challenge, but a nice challenge all the same!
