Just about every gag cartoon I create is by commission, usually for corporate greetings cards or liven up what can be a dry report. The one exception is the Cartoonists' Club Of Great Britain's monthly magazine, The Jester, where members are invited to submit cartoons to the editor for consideration based around a theme. Whereas professional gag cartoonists acquire a vast portfolio of cartoons they can dip into, my cartoon work is largely for corporate customers, children's products and character design, so my submissions are always created from scratch. Above is my cartoon that's appearing in the current issue on the theme of trees and flowers.
